The History of Les Archives

A French niche perfume house born from memory and skin.

There is a trace in every fragrance. An imprint left on the skin, but also in time.
It was from this idea that Les Archives was born, an independent French fashion house founded by Mathis Charras .

The Birth of a Free House

Founded in France, Les Archives is first and foremost an intuition: that perfume can be a form of memory.
Neither a marketing concept nor nostalgia — but an intimate language, that of memory and the body.
Each creation is conceived as a page from an olfactory journal, a preserved, classified, and transmitted fragment of life.

The name "Les Archives" (The Archives) is an obvious choice: it evokes rigor, trace, and the act of preserving.
To keep an emotion. A light. A skin.

An independent and French creation.

Les Archives champions a free and artisanal vision of perfume .
The formulas are created in collaboration with French perfumers and produced in the South of France, with particular care taken at each stage:

• Bottles : Europe

• Labels and boxes : France

• Assembly and packaging : France

A demanding approach, but necessary to preserve the coherence between vision, material, and gesture.

Three fragrances to start with

For its first chapter, the house opens its archives with three creations :

• Kamla — a golden, almondy, and spicy accord, inspired by the sweetness of childhood memories.

• 22:22 — a milky, spiritual, and luminous woody scent, like a suspended moment.

• no id — a skin scent, intimate and musky, that reacts to the pH and reveals the uniqueness of each individual.

Three fragrances like three fragments of identity, three ways of inhabiting time.

The essential is invisible.

The house motto, "The essential is invisible," encapsulates its philosophy:
Perfume isn't meant to impress, but to accompany.
He doesn't try to hide, but to reveal what is already there.
